As people are priced out of trendy Williamsburg, they’re heading east to more affordable neighborhoods, bringing the wave of gentrification with them. In Bushwick, rent prices have risen exponentially, pushing lifelong residents out of the area. Not surprisingly, the change in demographics has affected the neighborhood’s restaurant scene. As young people move into the area, hip new restaurants have been following suit, creating an interesting contrast between new and old.

As breast cancer rates are rising in young women, 50,000 New Yorkers donned pink apparel and marched through Central Park for the national Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
