American Story: Mr. Sandman

Walk around Washington Square Park or Union Square in New York City you are likely to see intricate designs on the ground. These are by the visual artist Joe Mangrum, whose primary medium is sand. He has been painting with sand since 2006, and his work has been featured in many museums. Inspiration for Mangrum’s work comes from the world around him. Take a look at this American Story.
