Mosaics Make a Homecoming

After several petitions and three years of hard work, artist Jim Power’s mosaic lampposts have returned to their home in Astor Place. With the landscape of the East Village changing rapidly, community members were adamant to keep the Vietnam War veteran’s iconic work in the public view. Here’s his story.
