The Reptile Rescuer

Robert Shapiro, who founded Social Tees Animal Rescue in New York’s East Village, has been helping animals in need for years. But it isn’t the popular animals like cats and dogs that keep him going — it’s the reptiles. In its 25th year, the organization thrives as more foster parents join the cause. Here is his story:
