Singapore’s response to the Coronavirus

On March 11, COVID-19 was officially declared as a pandemic. With countries around the world struggling to combat the virus, many look at Singapore as an example of how containment should be. Since the first reported case in January, Singapore has placed many preventive measures and increased its transparency to the public. But now, with school closures and many students returning home, the numbers in Singapore are at risk of growing again as imported cases are on the rise.
