Esther (Youming) Luz is an M.A. candidate in Journalism (Business and Economic Reporting) at NYU, with a B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design. She began her career as a financial recruiter for hedge funds like D.E. Shaw and Citadel, then led HR and business development for a $10 billion AUM hedge fund. Currently, she authors Atlas Collective, a bi-weekly newsletter on financial recruiting and market trends with over 19,000 subscribers, and has written articles based on interviews with key hedge fund players.
