Sophie Tosh
As a double major in Dance and Journalism at NYU, I combine my passion for storytelling and movement to explore the arts, culture, and community in New York City. Currently interning at Dance Media, I report, edit, and uncover the pulse of dance pop culture, working to highlight the importance of the arts and its impact on everyday life.
In 2022 and 2023, I was honored with the YoungArts Scholarship for modern/contemporary dance and choreography, reflecting my dedication to creativity. On campus, I serve as Liaison Chair for the New York Dance Marathon, bridging students and families, and as an Executive Board Member of Alpha Epsilon Phi, where I help strengthen our campus community and its connection to New York culture.
Inspired by Dead Poets Society, I live by the idea that while medicine sustains life, “poetry, beauty, romance, love… are what we stay alive for.”
