I fell in love with documentary media in Almost Heaven, West Virginia. There, working with Habitat for Humanity, I practiced the power of storytelling, capturing the voices of Appalachia through photography, radio and film. Since, I’ve worked on oral histories for the U.S. Department of State, created public media for a major NPR-affiliate station, and led a variety of independent media projects.
